check for special events

Check their website to find out when they have special parties like Raw, Code, jocks vs jocks, etc. That's when the best crowds are there.

late afternoon ... happy hour

small quaint nice guys sitting next to me, after a couple, at first no one would talk to me, and the bartender barely focused on me til some regulars talked to me. prob go back sometime this week... kinda of hidden behind the main facade of the buildings but privacy is definite :P

My favorite DC bar.

I love it because of its unusual location, beautiful interior, and friendly fun atmosphere.

Always Entertaining

There's something about "shirtless thursday" for guys to get free drinks that is a combination of endearing and avaricious that is great. I found the crowd sexy and very mixed in ages, sizes, muscles and hairiness, and I don't have a type so it was perfect for that. No bar has friendly people until they've knocked back a couple of drinks so the evening definitely gets better as it goes on. Can be very flirty, sleazy, or even primpy depending on the crowd's mood. Great place to meet anyone from a half-naked Military doctor to an over-endowed daddy that can kiss like hell. But, alas, then the lights go on and the free drinks are over, and the bar clears. Worth a visit.
