Though not actually on a beach, run by the charismatic Freddie, this colorful "straight-friendly" bar/restaurant is a fun stop just across the Potomac River in the Crystal City neighborhood of Arlington, VA. Freddie's is THE only gay bar in Northern Virginia. Drag shows and karaoke are some of the main attractions.

Freddie's is simply the best place ever, great staff, awesome food, wonderful drinks, and an all around good time! Not to mention the rocking bartenders. Did I mention the phenomenal staff? Best in DC

Very friendly for all, even straight. Great Brunch, Drag shows are fun. Could come here everynight. Bartenters, staff so friendly and drinks are good. Freddie has created a great oasis in a big city
Great time for a reasonable price!
The drag show on Sunday at 9 is very entertaining, hunter the bar tender is gorgeous and the drinks are fabulously fruity! Sex on the beach, banana daiquiri and strawberry daiquiri.
Fun place to stop in.
The owner Freddie can make you feel that you've just stopped by his beach house for a party. The bar is the only gay bar in Northern Va. and they do a good job of being all things to all people. The drag bingo is fun as well as the overal crowd. The one sore spot for people used to DC would be that this is still VA. and the smokers know it!
