Young Government Leaders (YGL) is committed to providing the authentic voice for our generation of aspiring government leaders. Our membership consists of over 5,000 young federal, state, and local government employees and is growing every day. We are the only 501 (c)3 non-profit professional organization founded by, and led by, young government employees. We are actively building a community of leadership for young public servants across the country, through professional development activities, networking opportunities, social events, seminars, fellowships, and scholarships.
We have a strong presence in Washington, DC, and energetic regional chapters in Boston, Bethesda, Denver, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and San Francisco, along with emerging chapters in Albuquerque, Baltimore, Chicago, New York, and Seattle. YGL is the premiere professional organization for young government employees, no matter where you’re located.
Our members come to YGL events for the opportunity to build lasting relationships with other aspiring government leaders and to brainstorm about potential solutions to the significant challenges the government faces now and in the next century. YGL encourages members to get involved, make a difference, and develop their leadership potential. Concurrently, members are guaranteed to have fun, develop long lasting friendships, and make a real difference in the business of government.
GovLoop’s mission is simple: connect government to improve government. We aim to inspire public sector professionals to better service by acting as the knowledge network for government.
GovLoop serves a community of more than 150,000 government leaders by helping them to foster collaboration, learn from each other, solve problems and advance in their government careers. We aim to inspire public sector professionals to better service by acting as the knowledge network for government. We do this through a variety of mechanisms including blogs, discussions, research guides, online trainings, mentorship programs, and more.
GovLoop works with top industry partners, such as ESRI, HP, Microsoft and IBM to provide resources and tools, such as guides, infographics, online training and educational events, for public sector professionals. Additionally, GovLoop contracts directly with government agencies to transform their online learning experiences. Finally, GovLoop also promotes public service success stories in popular news sources like the Washington Post, Huffington Post, Government Technology, and other industry publications.

District Team Charities (formerly District Trust Charities) is a 501c3 nonprofit founded in 2005 to assist local charities in the DC community with fundraising and volunteer support. Our mission is simple, “making a difference, one event at a time.”
District Team Charities (DTC) was formed in 2005 by a group of young DC professionals who wanted to be proactive in raising funds for those in need. DTC’s board members, hosts and guests come from many different DC backgrounds including political Washington and the business, non-profit and diplomatic communities.
Everyone involved shares a commitment to supporting District related entities that provide hope to those with various needs and challenges. We are an equal opportunity charity as each of our events benefits a new cause.
