Wig Night Out

Hold onto your wigs, kids! The Supreme Wig Council is proud to again pronounce that you wear your wig and come out to support Point Foundation!

What began three years ago as a small group of friends donning wigs and donating to charity has blossomed into a fun and quirky annual event supporting a charity near and dear to all our hearts. On February 23 at JRs Bar and Grill on 17th Street, this year’s Wig Night Out promises regular Joes in street clothes and outlandish wigs, all in an effort to raise money for scholarships for LGBTQ youth.

And for WNO DC 2013, we are thrilled to add some exciting additions to this year's event, including a photobooth and a special Wig-themed video montage (oooooo, ahhhhhhh)!

The suggested donation is $10, but feel free to give more. This year we are once again proud to announce that 100% of the proceeds will go to Point Foundation. With your help we raised over $5000 last year; join us again this year, and together we can push that number even higher for 2013! Out of town? Wig in the shop? Out of Aquanet? No worries--you can still support WNO and Point Foundation. Just visit http://pointfoundation.org/wnodc

Point Foundation provides financial support, mentoring, leadership training and hope to meritorious students who are marginalized due to sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.

Read last year's Borderstan article on our 2012 WNO event, complete with photos!

So start pouring through that fabulous wig collection you've been amassing, grab your checkbook, and meet us at JRs on February 23! It's going to be wigtastic!
