fancy, stand and pose

I thought I was back at XL in NYC... nice space, good lighting, HOT staff. This is a place for pretty people and their admirers... and all those in between too. Drinks are expensive, but I get that... I wish they had little hooks or something for coats in the bar area... i don't like standing and holding... standing and posing... sure.... but i want to put my coat down.

Hip and cute

Halo is a great little lounge in the emerging Logan Circle area of DC. On a Tuesday night, the crowd was cute and chatty, but there weren't too many people to make the small place feel claustrophobic. The super hot bartenders made good drinks, although the orders weren't exactly right... but who can complain to someone that gorgeous? My only critique: it's starting to be cooler out, and there's nowhere to hang one's coat, so everyone either kept their coats on slung them over their arms... I hung mine from an easel.

My favorite DC bar

This place is stylish, friendly and the drinks are the best. I think Halo has the best drink menu of all DC gay bars and clubs. They encourage the bartenders the be creative. The bartenders are super nice. My friends and I hate that Victor is no longer there, but we are still regulars. John and Carlos are our new favorite bartenders. They are good guys. Halo is a must when you visit DC.

Bye bye Farrah

The staff was nice and very correct, the drinks (I had dry martinis and cosmos) well prepared, generous (in size and alcohol contains) but slightly overpriced. In all a very nice place with kinna relaxed ambiance. Definitively not a cruising place, mostly couples or groups of friends. Nice music. My only regret, while there, we all learnt about the death of Jacko, and more importantly: of Farrah Fawcett.

Fun lounge, good drinks

Went there twice during my last visit. The bartenders are super nice, and the drinks are really good, although pricey. The music is good and its a nice, trendy bar. However, what's up with the attitude? I'm not the best looking guy, but I hold my own and am friendly. There were some pretty unattractive guys in there that truly thought they were it. Don't get me wrong, plenty of friendly people. There's that group though, that is pretty pretentious and push people out of the way. You know what daddy says about pretention......
