The convenient jumping-off point for nearby nightclub Apex. Tends to attract regulars who gather around the cozy downstairs bar. Yes, there is a real fireplace. Perhaps the most unassuming bar in D.C., and certainly among the most consistently fun.

Superbowl
I'm white and didn't know this was a "black" bar when I went to watch the Superbowl. Had a nice time (didn't know anyone, yet a lot of guys talked to me and made me feel real welcome). Downstairs:started off older (60+) white guys! The game was the focus. Upstairs, GREAT DJ, Hot Guys. Had a GREAT night. I'll visit again.
Yuck, street people
You'll definitely either like this place or hate it. It's quite raw.Nothing stylish about this place and the patrons can be aggressive. Very popular black hangout, you're going to find a middle aged to older crowd here. I visited once and quickly left.
Nice Bar
I had a good time there's no need to be afraid of Black people. I had a good time and I'm not black
My Momma always told me if you have nothing...
My Momma always told me that if I have nothing good to say, then say nothing at all. I'll just leave it at that, except to say that the patrons can be a bit scary sometimes. If you are into gutter trawling, you'll love it.
