It's our favorite time of the year! While modern day Pride is a celebration, don't forget that the first gay pride was a riot led by trans women of color. Come celebrate Pride month with us as we show one of our favorite, and one of the most significant films, in queer history. About the name:
*We say queer girl because the movies we screen are about queer women and by queer women. All people who identify within the queer spectrum are welcome to attend!
About the space:
Queer Girl Movie Night at the amazing bar/music venue/cafe Black Cat!! It’s located on 14th street between Swann and S (1811 14th St NW, Washington, DC 20009). It's only a 10 minute walk from the U Street/Cardozo metro, and near the 96, 52, 53, 54 bus stops. Movie night is in the back on the first floor of the space, which is ADA accessible.
