A note from Christian...
"It has been an incredible 2 years & 3 months since I started as resident DJ at DC Bear Crue: Bear Happy Hour. It has been successful beyond my wildest expectations. It has been truly amazing to watch BHH grow exponentially over these 27 months and to have been a part of it. So many great events: Pride, MAL weekend, Halloween, Scruff parties, Santa Bear… too many to mention. Incredible memories. I want to thank everyone for coming out on Fridays and making it such a fun time week after week after week. Thanks for all the song requests and suggestions, positive comments and conversation. I’m very grateful to have had the chance to meet so many great people over the course of the last 2 years. Special thanks to all my friends who have come out week after week for your support and encouragement – you know who you are. I will never forget it and I love you all. Charger, Scott, Adam, Ed and everybody at Town – you have all been incredibly supportive and it’s been a pleasure to work with all of you. And of course most of all, thanks and love to my husband Malcolm for standing with me every step of the way, and helping me do this. It would not have been possible without you - - this has truly been a collaborative effort. I am first and foremost a music fan and it’s been a great privilege to have been able to share my love of music with you every Friday. Approx. 112 weeks, over 8,500 songs spanning nearly 50 years of music over 5 hours each Friday - - - it’s been an experience I will never forget. I know BHH will continue to be a fantastic event every Friday, and I’m looking forward to coming out in the future and spending more time with my friends and enjoying BHH from the other side of the DJ booth. Hugs and thanks again!" - Christian
