Wrong Time/Wrong Place- RUN AWAY NOW!

Maybe once upon a time this was a country bar, but definitely NOT now. My partner and I went on a Friday night for a change and thought we had stepped into the Twilight Zone. There were 20-30 African American hoodlums right out of the Ghetto! There were no other ethnicities in the place, but more than that, the clientel looked as though they just got off the bus from Anacostia. It was scary! Needless to say, we turned immediately and ran to the car. (Before paying the $10 cover- WHAT A JOKE!)

Thursday nights...

All I can say is... WOW! I was more than entertained; I was wowed and amazed. Pleasure put on a show like no other. As for the rest of the entertainers Sweetie! There was somebody for for everybody. The environment is fun & somewhat laid back; the entertainers sexy, creative, talented and, I would say a must see. Thank you Pleasure for the invite...

unfortunately past it's prime

Sadly, remingtons has lost it's way. A recent trip on a Saturday night found maybe 6 couples on the dance floor at 11pm and the karaoke bar upstairs packed with straight folks and one passed out guy at the bar..the most watered down drinks in dc - stick to beer.

Nice to visit

Remmingtons is one of those bars that should be more successful than it is. The space is gigantic, the dance floor is large and it is located in Capital Hill close to plenty of gays. The crowds seem to be fairly small during the week and really only get hopping on Saturadays. When the place is full it is fantastic. Friendly crowd, and if you know how to two step you will have no lack of partners. The upstairs Karaoke is fun and attracts a completely different crowd then downstairs.

Real spacious and mellow with an ample lounge area away from the dance music.... rem's is blessed with a wonderfully varied, civil clientele all around ! What's with this 'mazin two steppin /line dancin'.... (?)~:) Seriously....bring yo' folks gramps & gran-ma ! rem's is a helluva straight-friendly locale, with strong drinks very reasonably priced 4 d-c ...! Staff unfailingly helpful, and ole-time chivalrous to boot! [ y'all don't ferget dem spurs...]
