Great drink specials, campy videos, and friendly bartenders keep JR's packed with fun 7 days a week. If you're looking for a casual place for a drink, JR's is the place to go, right in the heart of the primary gay hood. This is the place to play "pin the tail on the closeted Republican Hill staffers."

Music Videos
Sometimes you just want to grab a drink, hear some good music and watch the world go by as you talk to your friends. JR's is the perfect place for this. This music video bar attracts men of all ages, and always has a great selection of music vids playing in the background. No dancing is allowed, in theory, but sometimes after a long week that's all a man needs. If the following statement sums up your mood, then you should definitely go here. "Give me my beer and my Kylie please. I'll be in the corner catching up with my friends."
Neighborhood bar
One of my favorite gay staples in D.C. This is where many start their nights out. Excellent Thursday all you can drink for $15 happy hour and also popular on Sunday afternoon/evenings (affectionately called "going to church" here in D.C.)
