Kitschy 50s diner with diverse crowd packs in the who's who of DC's gay community
The diner food and booze at Duplex brings in DC's A-list crowd. Decorated with knick-knacks and memorabilia—it's a kitsch lover's paradise. Thursday nights are the busiest. Situated between the gay Dupont hood and the trendy/gay Adams Morgan. Catch DC gay celebs like blogger Andrew Sullivan and Barney Frank here in the city where politics never stops.

I've been here on various occasions and it was a disaster! The crowd is one big click that, trust me, you won't fit into. I actually personally know everyone on my FaceBook Friends List and have had no problem making friends since moving to DC. Thankfully, I didn't start here!

In what other gay bar can you also get mac and cheese like mom used to make? Highly recommended.

Voted by OUT Magazine as one of the 25 Best Gay Bars in the World. Lively neighborhood bar scene takes over the restaurant on Thursday nights. Always fun!
