The Washington Chorus Presents Carmina Burana & Oedipus Rex

Reserve your tickets now for a very special evening with two choral masterpieces! In 'Carmina Burana,' bawdy and satirical poems found in the annals of a 13th century German monastery are set to fiery music. In the dazzling vocal lines of 'Oedipus Rex,' Sophacles’s tragedy is portrayed in a dramatic oratorio. We celebrate the final concert of Music Director Julian Wachner in grand style, along with the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, the Children’s Chorus of Washington, the Washington National Cathedral Boy and Girl Choristers, and a host of other musical stars! Colleen Daly, soprano Margaret Lattimore, mezzo soprano Vale Rideout, tenor Robert Baker, tenor Christopher Burchett, baritone Morris Robinson, bass
