Please join the Pride Fund on December 11th for a 2 for 1 Sunday Funday happy hour at Number 9, as we toast to the successes of 2016, and prepare for the next election cycle! “Our time is now.” Those were the words the NRA’s Wayne LaPierre used to characterize the results of the election. Their first priority? Passing a federal law that would make state-issued concealed-carry-permits valid in all 50 states. In other words, a concealed-carry-permit holder in a state like Texas would then be able to carry a concealed gun in a state like California, regardless of California’s concealed-carry laws. Frankly, now is our time too—our time to stand up for what we believe in and fight back against the extremist views of the NRA and those who wish to rollback the progress the LGBTQ community has made over the last eight years.
