The African American Civil War Museum has formed a city-wide host committee to develop a comprehensive series of activities specifically designed to expose the tens of thousands of residents and visitors to the many contributions made by African Americans in Washington, D.C. The DC Host Committee has authorized an LGBTQ event – “Our Lives, Our History, Our Museum” A LGBTQ Celebration of the Opening of the National Museum of African American History and Culture.
This event will be Wednesday, Sept. 21 at the Human Rights Campaign's Equity Room, 1640 Rhode Island Ave, NW, WDC from 7 to 9 p.m. featuring BBroadway sensation, singer-songwriter and LGBT activist, Frenchie Davis. Refreshments will be provided. There has been overwhelming response to this event. We are no longer accepting RSVPs.

Sponsorship levels: Gold: $500, Silver: $250 and Bronze: $100.
Host Committee: $50.
