Pansy Division Live

Pansy Division is an American punk rock band that formed in San Francisco, California in 1991. Featuring primarily gay musicians and focusing mostly on gay-related themes, Pansy Division is one of the more melodic bands to emerge from the "queercore" movement that began in the 1980s. On September 9th Pansy Division will release their 9th studio album, Quite Contrary, their first new release in 7 years. It has 14 songs and was recorded between the middle of last year and the beginning of this one. Pansy Division will be kicking off a limited tour of only 12 shows and will be stopping in Washing DC on Thursday, September 22nd. I’ve seen Pansy Division a half a dozen times in the District and in New Orleans and I’ve always had a great time at their shows and after parties.
