This week, our hearts have been heavy with grief over the loss of 49 beautiful souls in a horrific attack on the LGBTQ community in Orlando. We've been in shock, we've cried, we've held hands at vigils, and we've searched for answers as we try to heal.
We often feel helpless in the face of such violent hatred, but this week we have also felt the power of standing side by side with other members of our communities to reject intolerance.
Please join us for a discussion on how we can use that power to help prevent similar attacks from happening in the future, mobilize our communities to advocate for policies that will make another Orlando less likely, and elect leaders who reject the homophobia that drove this attack.
The event will kick off with live music by Patience, of the band BoomScat, followed by a panel discussion with local organizers.
Free and open to all.
