How I Got Over Film Screening at Miracle Theatre

The Theatre Lab invites you to join us for a screening of the award-winning documentary film "How I Got Over", directed by Nicole Boxer, which depicts a compelling journey of 15 formerly homeless women in substance abuse recovery. From their beginning together at N Street Village, they build their stories into a performance on the stage of the Kennedy Center, where they play to a packed house. The screening will be Sunday, June 19 at 7 pm at the Miracle Theatre (535 8th Street SE). A discussion and reception with Theatre Lab Co-Executive Director Deb Gottesman (who directed the Kennedy Center production) and the women who star in the film will follow the screening.
