Batala Washington | Funk Parade & Music Festival

BACK FOR THE 3RD STRAIGHT YEAR!!! This year the organizers expect 70,000 + spectators to fill U street! The theme for the 2016 Funk Parade is "ROLL YOUR FUNK"! time to break out the skates, shorts and sweatbands!! Funk Parade is a one-of-a-kind parade, street fair, and music festival to celebrate U Street, the District and the spirit of funk. Funk Parade exists to make good things happen by bringing people together and making them feel all right through music, dance and the visual arts. Funk Parade organizers have said that there is no Funk Parade without Batala so let's FUNK IT UP!! This year Batala Washington is thrilled to have special guests The DC Rollergirls!!! These awesome ladies will be part of our "Rolling Bloco" & we can't wait!
