Purple Rain Film Screening

Dearly beloved We are gathered here today To get through this thing called life Electric word life It means forever and that's a mighty long time But I'm here to tell you There's something else The after world (Let's Go Crazy, Prince, Purple Rain) In celebration and recognition of the multi-talented Prince, we are pleased to host a screening of the film Purple Rain (Rated R, 111 minutes) in his memory. Prince was a seven-time Grammy winner, and winner of the Academy Award for Best Original Song Score for Purple Rain. Please join us for this special event and witness the many talents of the late singer, musician, and songwriter. Light refreshments will be served. EDIT 4/27/16 Due to the overwhelming interest in this program (thank you!) and the fact that the library's largest meeting room has a fire code limit of 100 persons, this will be a first come, first served ticketed event. The first to arrive to pick up a ticket from 6:00pm-6:45pm will be guaranteed entrance! If you do not make it in time, do not despair! We will be handing out tickets for a second screening at the Shaw Library (to be announced soon) on Saturday, May 7th from 2pm-4pm.
