Washington Blade editor Kevin Naff and senior news writer Lou Chibbaro Jr. talk about the history of the newspaper and its award-winning coverage of the LGBT community.
Their appearance comes during the 40th anniversary of Capital Pride, an annual celebration of the LGBT community in Washington, D.C.
The Blade, founded in 1969 as a black-and-white, one-sheet community newsletter, is regarded as the voice of record for the LGBT community. In 2013, the Blade became the first LGBT publication admitted to the pool rotation for the White House press corps.
