Jazz in The Garden

This is a free concert down at the National gallery of Art Sculpture Garden every Friday starting at 5pm in the summers. The area can get pretty packed by 5:30pm so I plan on taking off work early to arrive there at 4:30pm and lay out a blanket. Few points to consider: - Alcohol is technically not allowed. And they really ramped up security at the entrances. They will check your bags and coolers. So DO NOT BRING BEER BOTTLES, WINE BOTTLES, LIQUOR BOTTLES. Be inconspicuous about it and mix it with something else prior to arriving. - Bring a blanket. It's better to have extras so we can take up more room on the grass. - Food. There is a cafe there but the lines are super long and the food is expensive. Pack a dinner and feel free to bring extras if you would like to share. - Bring sunscreen! Seriously! If we don't get a spot in the shade, you're going to need it. And dress cool.
