"Being Billie: Re-imagining Billie Holiday,” is a feature length documentary film that examines through narrative and visual images, Billie Holiday’s life and impact on popular culture. The film illustrates how the Holiday story over time has evolved into a mythic, one-dimensional portrait, and provides a more realistic means by which Holiday can be assessed and consequently, RE-IMAGINED.
