Capital Pride & Busboys and Poets present Women's Spoken Word

Join Busboys and Poets and Capital Pride for the annual Women's Spoken Word. This year we're taking it to the next level with a DJ, live band and burlesque. To accommodate as many beautiful folks as we possibly can we're making this a FULL-STORE event at Busboys and Poets - 5th & K. Audience can expect a diverse chorus of voices, and an array of professional spoken word performers, open mic rookies, and acoustic musical performances. Busboys and Poets’ full food and drink menu will be available throughout the event. *Pride-themed drink specials* *Split nachos or wings with a cutie* Seating is first come, first served. Doors open at 8:30pm. This space is open to ALL, we welcome all gender identities and especially encourage our transwomen and cis-women community to share their words on the mic.
