In the midst of red foiled chocolates and gift wrapped teddy bears found around Valentine’s Day, Michael Owen’s “Adult LOVE” show draws from personal experience and intimate moments to explore the deeper layers of love. His work and murals can be found across the country, in both galleries and in communities. Michael’s portfolio includes over 100 murals from abstract to narrative, from small interior pieces to corporate and city commissions. A resident of east Baltimore, Michael is currently building a residency program for international artists to come to Baltimore and work within the artist community.
Michael Owen is the creator and lead artist of the Baltimore Love Project. After living in Seattle, Cleveland and Orlando, Michael moved to Baltimore to attend Maryland Institute College of Art. Since receiving his BFA in 2004, Michael has been painting all around the United States, utilizing galleries as well as the streets, including one of the world’s longest murals at 1/4 mile in length. Owen has collaborated with numerous brands including Faberge, lululemon athletica, Seagram’s, Toyota and Woven Accents.
