Enter a world that few have seen before, come to be seduced by the sights of men. But beware! This land of indulgence harbors a terrible curse: men become their inner beasts by being transformed into bears, pigs and pups. Oh my, what is a man to do?
Shhhh…just relax and watch what happens next as body painted models representing characters from Dortch’s artwork entertain the guests. They will be encouraged to touch the models. And as the body paint transfers to the guests, they will become part of the experience. During the live performance, paint will be dripped onto the models. Then they will either lie on large canvas artwork or raw canvases to create abstract silhouettes. After, Dortch will add a few brush strokes to turn these shapes into voyeuristic shadows of bears, pigs, or dogs.
This exhibition merges 12 original mixed media pieces, an installation, experimental music by Rellik Nissassa and live performances by body painted models. The affordable artworks depict sexually charged bears, pigs, and dogs that just want the viewer to come and play with them.
