To show appreciation for Supreme Court's monumental decision last Wednesday and to remind folks the fight for equality is far from over, Udi Behr, founder of Love and Pride is inviting everyone to help him send a thank you and a reminder. Sign our giant thank you card, to be delivered to the Supreme Court steps with 1,138 roses at 11:38am on July 24th, one month from the decision, just by joining our Facebook event.
We have been on the front lines of the fight for equality since we were founded in 2005 and to date we have raised over $400,000 for amazing organizations that fight for equality day in and day out. In 2007 we passed out 1,138 roses in Union Square in New York City - each with a tag for one of the federal rights denied to same-sex couples that wish to be married but can't. We handed a $20,000 check to Lambda Legal to help them continue to do what they do for our community. Join us now, six years later to help us remind our great nation that the fight for equality has only just begun.

"I believe in equality and justice and love," says Udi. "All people deserve love, and freedom...love is love and deserves to be respected as such."
There are 1,138 federal rights and protections granted to heterosexual couples and not same-sex couples in 37 states across the U.S. The decision Wednesday changed that for the states where marriage equality has already been passed. We plan to send 1,138 roses and as many signatures as possible, to show our gratitude for progress and demand more of it.
