Putting It Out Yourself

This OUTWRITE panel, occuring from 1:30 to 2:30 PM, will be led by three self-published authors, Michael Christopher, Rashid Darden, and Lisa Moore. Michael Christopher has been an active voice in the LGBT community as an author, publisher, illustrator, lecturer, and artistic advisor to several outreach campaigns throughout the United States. He launched his own comic series "Living The Life" in 1998. Rashid Darden is the author of Birth of a Dark Nation, first in a series of novels about African vampires brought to America during the transatlantic slave trade. Lisa C. Moore is the founder and editor of RedBone Press, which publishes work celebrating the culture of black lesbians and gay men and promoting understanding between black gays and lesbians and the black mainstream.
