Join us on DC's historic Pennsylvania Avenue and celebrate Capital Pride 2013! Come early for a day full of entertainment, music, food, drink, education, and celebration. The festival is open to everyone, and there is no fee for entry; however a donation is encouraged.
Swedish dance-pop duo Icona Pop, British singer/rapper Cher Lloyd, and Scottish soul singer-songwriter Emeli Sandé will perform at the Festival. Sandé will perform around 4pm on the Capitol Stage, Icona Pop around 6pm, and Cher Lloyd around 7pm. The performances will be followed by the first ever, Capitol Sunset Dance, a dance party in the shadow of the US Capitol at sunset.
In addition to the Capitol Stage, the festival will also host a DJ Dance Tent with DC's hottest DJ's and the Freeze X Cold Air Blast System to cool you off; and the Dupont Stage, featuring local talent from the music and drag community.
The festival is family friendly. Due to large crowds and very hot asphalt, we recommend that pets stay at home.
300 exhibitors including local and community groups, national sponsors, local businesses, food vendors, restaurants and businesses will be looking to promote their services to you.
**Please note the new start time of 12pm.**
