The DC Center hosts a transgender discussion group on the first Friday of every month. The next trans discussion group takes place Friday March 1st at 7:00 PM at the DC Center for the LGBT Community, 1318 U Street NW.

Our featured facilitator for the night will be Andy Bowen and our topic of conversation will be health care reform as it pertains to the transgender community. Specifically we will be talking about local medicaid issues in the District of Columbia We will also discuss the DC Health Benefits Exchange (part of health care reform) and how we can advocate for the transgender related health care to be included in the benchmark plan for the DC Health Benefits Exchange.
