Not always a woman spot
This was a woman's bar at one time but now they crum us with maybe 2-3 events a month for woman...over price and drinks are weak.
Best club with all the sexiest ladies
I absolutely love Lace! Everyone is so friendly! All the sexy ladies in DC must flock there! Lol!
Wonderful Place
Every since Lace open up 2 years ago, I have never been disappointed anytime that I have been there. The staff, the owner and the people that come into Lace are very friendly. Whenever someone ask me about a place to go in DC, Lace is always the first place I mention. It has a very warm atmosphere that I have never felt from any other place that I have been too.
Two thumbs up - Very nice place for lesbian
My partner, myself and one of my closest friends went last night and I thought it surprisingly nice. The food was pretty good and the atmosphere very light. The owner is indeed quite lovely and very friendly. I think she is the reason the atmosphere is easy and friendly. The staff was very nice and pleasant. This place is a bit more upscale than other lesbian bars I have been to in DC. I think Lace needs to be supported by the lesbian and gay community. As for one commenter's note about it's location in a not so great area, this particular area if DC has some of the oldest (age wise) residents of DC. It's no less safe than other places people tend to frequent like Dupont Circle or Adam's Morgan (which does seem to have various petty crimes and assaults occurring). The owner was smart to place her bar near Maryland where a lot of lesbians seem to live, black and white, to make it as easy for them to get to as possible. I don't know if that is why she chose to locate there, but it was a pretty smart move. It is generally very difficult to get lesbians to come out of their nesting caves to party. So, I give her and her establishment two thumbs up.
